For Cardiff University Students’ Union, I created visual brand elements for on-campus food outlets alongside design work supporting event promotion and student engagement. The projects focused on developing clear, distinctive identities and engaging promotional materials that could be applied consistently across physical and digital touchpoints, helping communicate offers, activities, and experiences within a busy campus environment.
The Students’ Union required visual solutions that could support permanent food outlets as well as fast-moving events and student-led activity. My role involved creating brand elements that gave each outlet a recognisable identity, while also designing promotional materials that encouraged participation and visibility across campus.
I developed logos, colour palettes, typography, and supporting graphics for food outlets, ensuring each system was practical, flexible, and easy to apply. Alongside this, I designed assets for event promotion and student body engagement, balancing bold visuals with clear information so messages could be understood quickly in both digital and physical spaces.
The resulting work strengthened recognition across food outlets and improved engagement with events and activities. By combining brand creation with effective promotion, the designs supported a more connected and lively campus experience for students.
