Momentful

Momentful is dedicated to celebrating life’s special moments, whether big or small. When I joined the team, I immersed myself in the brand’s mission and values. Understanding the emotional weight behind each greeting was crucial; I wanted every design to resonate with users on a personal level.

One of the most exciting aspects of my role was manipulating artwork to create unique digital greetings. I collaborated with illustrators and photographers to curate a diverse library of visual elements. This process involved:

1. Reimagining Artwork: I took existing illustrations and photographs and reworked them to fit various themes and occasions, from birthdays and holidays to moments of encouragement. By layering, resizing, and adjusting colour palettes, I was able to breathe new life into each piece.
2. Creating Cohesive Designs: I focused on maintaining a cohesive style that reflected BeMomentful’s brand identity. This included selecting fonts, colour schemes, and layouts that complemented the artwork and enhanced the overall aesthetic.
3. Incorporating Typography: Typography played a crucial role in my designs. I carefully crafted messages that were not only meaningful but also visually appealing. The right font choices and placements added an extra layer of emotion to each greeting, making the words feel as special as the artwork itself.
4. Experimenting with Formats: I explored various digital formats, including animated greetings and interactive elements. This experimentation allowed me to push the boundaries of traditional greeting cards, offering users fresh and engaging ways to connect with their loved ones.

Working at Momentful was all about collaboration. I regularly engaged with the marketing and product teams to gather feedback on my designs and ensure they aligned with our overall strategy. This iterative process helped refine the final products and ensured we were meeting the needs of our users.

Seeing the positive reactions from users was incredibly rewarding. Many shared how our digital greetings added a personal touch to their communications, allowing them to express their feelings in a creative way. The feedback reinforced the idea that design can be a powerful tool for connection.
